This Cookie Policy explains which cookies and similar technologies we use on our website, why we use them, and how you can control them. It supplements our Privacy Policy.
What Are Cookies? #
Cookies are small text files that your browser stores on your device when you visit a website. A cookie contains a characteristic string of characters that allows your browser to be recognised when you return to the website.
In addition to cookies, we and the services we use may rely on similar technologies such as browser web storage (local storage) and tracking pixels. In this policy, “cookies” refers to all of these technologies.
Cookies set by the website you are visiting are called first-party cookies. Cookies set by other providers whose services are embedded are called third-party cookies. Session cookies are deleted when you close your browser; persistent cookies remain on your device for a set period or until you delete them.

Categories of Cookies #
Strictly necessary cookies
Legal basis: Section 25(2) TDDDG, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR
These cookies are required for the website to work, for example to protect the website against attacks, to store the contents of your shopping cart, and to remember your cookie preferences. They are set without your consent. You can block them in your browser, but parts of the website may then no longer work.
Analytics and marketing cookies
Legal basis: Section 25(1) TDDDG, Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR
These cookies help us understand how visitors use our website and, in the case of Google Analytics, are also used for marketing and advertising purposes. They are only set after you have given your consent in our cookie banner.
External media
Legal basis: Section 25(1) TDDDG, Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR
Embedded content from third parties, such as maps, is only loaded after you have given your consent. When it loads, the provider may set its own cookies.

Google Consent Mode #
We use the advanced implementation of Google Consent Mode. If you refuse consent, Google Analytics does not set any cookies. However, cookieless signals (“pings”) are still sent to Google. These may contain your IP address to determine your country (the IP address is not logged), the date and time of the page view, the URL of the page visited, your user agent, the referrer URL and information about website events such as a conversion.
Google uses this information to model usage data, so that an overall usage analysis is possible even if consent has been refused.
Managing Your Consent #
When you first visit our website, our cookie banner asks for your consent. You can accept all cookies, decline cookies that are not strictly necessary, or choose individual categories.
You can change or withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future using the “Cookie preferences” button displayed on our website. Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing carried out before the withdrawal.
Browser settings
In your browser, you can choose to be notified before cookies are set, accept cookies only in individual cases, block them in general, or delete cookies that have already been stored. Please note that some functions of our website may then not work fully. The following links explain how to do this in the most common browsers:
To prevent cross-device analysis by Google Signals, you can also turn off “personalised ads” in your Google account settings (instructions).
Transfers Outside the EU #
When you consent to Squarespace Analytics, Google Analytics or Google Maps, data may be transferred to servers in the USA. The European Commission has adopted an adequacy decision for the USA, the Trans-Atlantic Data Privacy Framework (TADPF). Google is certified under the TADPF and has thereby committed to complying with European data protection principles. Transfers to Squarespace, Inc. are based on the TADPF or on EU standard contractual clauses. Please note that US authorities may have access to this data.
Your Rights #
You have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing and data portability, the right to object to processing based on our legitimate interests, and the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.
Full details, including the contact details of the supervisory authority responsible for us, can be found in our Privacy Policy.
Changes to This Policy #
We update this Cookie Policy whenever the cookies or services we use change. The version published here applies, as indicated by the date at the top of the page.
